COALITION OF 12 CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATION'S MARCH AGAINST IMPUNITY IN ABUJA

A Coalition of Civil society groups and democracy advocates gathered in Abuja to express their displeasure over the draconian nature of the present administration and it's complete disregard for the rule of law.

The Organisations which included the Centre For Northern Awareness & Development(CENAD)‎ and
Progressive Youths for change(PYC) bemoaned the current situation where decisions by individuals override constitutional provisions especially the confusion in kogi state.

The March which took the protesters around major streets in Abuja ‎terminated at unity fountain square where  Group addressed the media before Proceeding to  submit their Written petition to the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC).
The youths in their thousands wore branded Tshirt & holding banners with different inscriptions such as 'INEC must ensure free & fair elections in Bayelsa', INEC ought to approach the Supreme Court for Interpretation in Interpretation in the kogi debacle' INEC should move our Democracy forward & Not backward'

The groups  were led by Comrade George Tiga & Comrade Aruwa Ismail were received by some Directors & Chief Security officer(CSO) at the INEC Headquarters.

If you are going to get yourself on national dallies and Tv's, attention to details must be paramount.

Really missing the peaceful and democratic atmosphere we had under Gej. Nigeria presently is under siege. People are being locked up without trials, court orders are being ignored, absentee president, darkness everywhere, no ongoing infrastructural development, clamping down on the opposition and peoples of divergent views and the silence of the already compromised media. Is this the change Nigerians voted for?

Impunity must end because the right of every man diminishes when the right of one man is threatened.
If Kogians rights are violated with a kangaro election, then the right of all Nigerians is threaten
