i dnt support death penalty cs it's nt dy best way of stopping crime look at USA with all their convictions yet crime is very high,check out Britain u it's once in a while u hear of crime nd nt brutal in china or USA but take a look at ICELAND nd see 4 ursef dat dy country is almost crime free

I personally subscribe to the idea of death penalty for the corrupt leaders or office holders because it will detar them from indulging in corruption or bribery. It will be my pleasure if Nigeria government can emulate others county the likes of China

Death Penalty should be passed based on impact of the crime. for example,
1: a hungry destitute steals an orange or banana from a roadside hawker? his actions have not killed anyone ..
2: An armed robber breaks into a bank and in the process kills a pregnant woman and 5 police officers (nearing retirement age) and some customers.. heck yea he should get the death penalty.
3: A Politician re-purposes moneys meant for the allevaiation of poverty in a certain local government and the resulting effect is lack of drugs, portable water supply and food leading to the slow and agonizing deaths of thousands of people.. should he get the Death Penalty? YESSSS but what he gets in your Father's Government is "Take A Bow".. STFU Zhara
