The National Chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria, Frederick Fasehun has said President Muhammadu Buhari is fast loosing focus with his administration, expressing disappointment at how what seemed like an experience of hope has now dashed the expectations of Nigerians.
Fasehun in a statement condemned Buhari’s incessant trips all over the world describing it as a huge distraction which would derail his development plans.
He called on Buhari to desist from chasing shadows and face the issues facing Nigerians rather than gallivanting from one country to another without adequate attention to the immediate issues bothering the country.

“The President is missing in action. Initially, we said Nigeria under Buhari was flying in autopilot but now the country has receded into ‘sabbaticals’, with no petrol, no jobs, no power, no salaries, and people are waiting for their President to give them a Happy New Year, especially when the time comes to pay children’s school fees in the new year.
“Nigerians are concerned about the lingering insecurity, the missing Chibok girls, the puzzling fuel shortage, unemployment, galloping inflation, the falling value of the naira, the dwindling value of stocks in the capital market, the power crisis and so on.

“The government should concentrate on finding solutions to all these and stop this futile chasing of shadows.”
The party leader also condemned Buhari’s Anti corruption war where members of the ruling party are tagged “saints” and the opposition evil and corrupt, adding that any attempt by the All Progressives Congress, APC,-led Federal Government to suppress the opposition would fail.

“The continued covering of APC politicians widely seen as corrupt shows that the so-called fight against corruption is merely a witch-hunt aimed at the opposition.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP caucus in the Senate under Godswill Akpabio had earlier accused the Buhari-led government of selective anti-corruption campaign.
“The [PDP] caucus is not happy with the current trend that seems to suggest that the war against corruption is selective and targeted at PDP stalwarts and states, the current war lacks transparency, fairness to all and appears to be aimed at political adversaries.”
PDP Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, also reinstated the caucus statement describing Buhari’s anti-graft war as a sheer witch hunt.
“This government has established itself as a hypocritical regime that accommodates corruption, profligacy and sleazes in government quarters while hoodwinking the people and witch-hunting PDP members.

“As we speak, no APC member, despite the public petitions of corruption and squandering of state funds, has been invited or questioned by the EFCC.
“We challenge the EFCC, as an anti-corruption agency, to show Nigerians any member of the APC it has so far questioned, not to talk of being arrested since the emergence of this administration, despite petitions against them.” Metuh said.
Labour Party National Secretary, Kayode Ajulo while appraising Buhari’s 100 days in office, also expressed doubt over the President’s good intentions in fixing Nigeria.

Fasheun, how I wish you could notice and pinpoint all these menace to your Ogogoro Master throughout his tenure? How did you become a critics all of a sudden when it was obvious that you were one of the major contractors during GEJ's tenure.

Fasehun is right, I kept wondering if Buhari's foreign trips has yielded any result, if not he should sit down and brainstorm with his cabinet on how to end fuel, power, and unemployment crisis in Nigeria.

Not too surprised because there is no magic in common sense improvement if not given a proper foundation for required development.

A man that never attempted Economics and Government as subjects in WASC. Had F9s in Mathematics and "COMMON" Woodwork.

The implication is what we are facing right now;

1) He doesn't understand how economy works and the right economic policies and the appropriate time for implementation.

2) He is handicaped as regards the great mans leadership skills required as an administrator, and the appropriate leadership styles to adopt.

3) He is not calculative as to checkmate some boiling issues and close some gaps, hence the emergence of Biafra agitators, the prolonged fuel scarcity, the disbanding of military checkpoint without alternatives and so on and on and on.

4) Finally, failing woodwork shows lack of common sense which must be on ground for the required good leadership qualities to evolve. Certainly, creativity does the magic in terms of leadership. Conceptual, interpersonal and technical skills keep any good administrator/manager afloat.

Buhari's background as a military man will continue to hunt him in leadership in a democratic setting. A typical military man doesn't believe in his subordinates sense of judgment, rather he or she should work as a robot. "Obey before complain" is not just a statement but an order even if it will cost you your life, nobody cares. That was why it was very hard for him to find an Idiagbon that will always have total submission and loyalty as his first, second and third and last commandment. Knowing that your boss has the right to torture you to death when you fail in your task even when working with the wrong orders, puts you on check.

It is funny how blind some nigerians have become... This same man in the name of Dr. Fasehun , spoke against voting for Buhari, but because of certain tribal sentiment and in other forms a myopic mind nigerians chose to vote the same dictator nigeria barely recovered from... It was to a must to vote pdp, there were other candidates, but because of bags of semolina and 10000 naira, nigerians especially the yoruba people sold out, and now they are left to suffer... well what are u going to do about it? Your freedom of speech is about to be taken from u... very soon we will be unable to speak our minds.... freely... We will be unable to write what we feel as this man wants to turn us all to zombies... And as for those who are still screaming get change, I guess they are blind to the suffering of their fellow nigerians... Buhari has failed before he even started... This fuel crisis is worse that when it happened in the last dispensation... but people decided to occupy... wonder why they haven't occupied yet? Nigerians are the own authors of their sufferings. ..
