Fayose said at the State Budget meeting while presenting N67.044 billion 2016 fiscal year budget to the House of Assembly that he would be paying 10, 000 indigent residents of Ekiti State a monthly allowance of N5,000. He said this at the State House of Assembly in Ekiti State on the 8th of December. Ayo Fayose made the promise saying that January 2016, the monthly cash will go to these residents.
