This incident happened yesterday. A rickety bus loaded with 50 pupils of Oke Ira primary school lost control and ran into a shop where a girl of about 4 years was standing, killing her Instantly. The pupils of this school pays 300 Naira daily and were loaded like sardines into a bus with no value.

The driver of the bus claimed he failed brake and the steering became stiff making it difficult to maneuver before it ran into the poor little. The girl was rushed to a hospital nearby where she was confirmed dead. None of the pupils in the bus died. LASEMA officials came to the scene about 2hrs after the incidence.

Blame it on corruption,if those responsible for checking road worthiness of vehicles are doing a good job and not taking bribe perharps ,this could have been averted.

LASTMA, 2hrs after incident? Maybe they were busy on the road collecting wat they sabi collect.

In Ibadan here also, some dangerous Ogun bus are being used ti convey kids. Parents should be mindful of this, they should stop putting tgeir kids into this bus.

I use to so something wrn i was in ss3 with my friends, we don't take cab that is not okay.
That method should be employed.
Also, the Government should ban off-road Vehicle from working or from being used on the road to minimize accidents.

R. I. P to the little child.
Above all lets pray for protection.

50 Pupils in a 14 seater Bus. shocked.

Besides when did a danfo turn into a school bus? Having a functional school bus should be one of the compulsory perquisites before a school owner can be granted license to open a school. This current system where people just open schools anyhow isn't helping us at all. undecided
