hello Nairalanders as we all know the Donald Trump's comment about Muslim has raised a lot of dust. however I will like to outline a few things why I think the comment is not so offensive as perceived.

1. WESTERN HYPOCRISY
The western populace are only hitting at Donald Trump. because they want to appear politically correct and make the rest of the world believe it's a free society. we know this isn't always true as racism and other forms of discrimination still exists.

2. SOCIAL MEDIA ATTITUDE
People live a dual life these days. we all know that some people may seem very social online but are really introverts offline. They say something online and do the exact opposite in the real world

3. KARMA
The terrorist activities have greatly deteriorated the image of Islam as a religion. This is a controversial issue as we have seen imams coming out in public to apologize for the activities of terrorists. non Muslims now thinks that Muslims are potential terrorists.

4. THE ATTITUDE OF MUSLIM NATIONS
The cold attitude of Arab and non-Arab Muslim nations in tackling terrorists have only made them suspicious of sponsoring the extremism. The ideology of the ISIS and other affiliates is quite similar to that of the Holy Land of the Muslim and have secret support by most Muslims. A good example is the norhern part of Nigeria where most if not all of Boko Haram jihad fighters are recruited.

The world can only defeat extremism if hypocrisy is first defeated.
