Tsa Public Hearing: Drama As Cbn Gov, Emefiele And Oagf Deny Remita Charges by Papasimi: 8:48pm On Dec 10, 2015
The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has mentioned that the Senate feels vindicated and satisfied that it was the first to blow the whistle on TSA transaction which attracted a frivolous 1% charge.

This came as the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emiefele feigned ignorance of the charge paid to systemspecs, owner of REMITA for TSA collections from banks.

While flagging off the Senate public hearing on TSA remittance Saga, Saraki promised that the committe will unravel the mystery behind the TSA saga, He urged the senate committee to carry out a thorough job devoid of sentiments.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, explained to the Senate committee that the contract for N8 billion remittances to SystemSpec, the owner of Remita, for the handling of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) was consummated in 2013. Similarly, the Accountant- General of the Federal (AGF), Mr. Ahmed Idris, said he had no knowledge of the one per cent approved charge for Remita. Emefiele and Idris made the denials while responding to questions from the Senate Committees on Finance, Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, and Public Accounts, investigating the alleged N25 billion scam.

What stupid vindication...

The part of the hearing NGRSenate didn't show us - CBN approved the 1% fee being charged by Remita for TSA. (CBN Governor; Godwin Emefiele at the Senate hearing)
