Thank God for all that He has accomplished today through His people in church! The world is still here today because of Jesus and His Body. Nigeria is still a beacon of life and liberty because of the almost omnipresence of the church here.

So What's Missing in the Church?

Not the stern disciplinarian that demands obedience and sacrifice, there are plenty of those still around. So what is missing? Not the businessman/pastor dual personality who puts on one hat for ministry and another hat to do "God's business", the church is full of those. And certainly not the great orator who woos the crowd with his swelling words and flamboyant style, they are everywhere!

What is missing is the heart of the Father!

There is a conspicuous absence of the Fatherhood of God working through His leadership in the church - There is an absence of those who labor in Christ until Christ is evident in the lives of every Christian so that in all of our humanity we become a people who are truly FREE!

The church is starving for a fresh revelation of their righteous position in Jesus before God, their priesthood before God, and the great commitment that the Father has for their success, happiness, peace and prosperity! We all need the strength and wisdom of the Father and the guarantee of our continued approval and blessing even when we fail...

Instead, in many cases, they receive shame and pressure to perform... Not from God, but from the church! God has given us the ministry of reconciliation, through the free gift of righteousness, see 2 Cor. 5:18-21.

The good news is that Jesus provided everything you need for your freedom when He made the great sacrifice on the cross, it's already done for all who will believe Him. There is nothing left to do except receive. When Jesus said, "It is finished", that's exactly what He meant!

You really are the church. You are a priest. You are an ambassador now, not when you get your act together, right now - You are the righteousness of God - You are the light of the world. You are that beacon of light that others are drawn to who don't know God. You don't have to try harder to be the light because Jesus said that you are already the light of the world!
