Did Jesus Advertised Miracles? by Maykelly(f): 5:53pm On Jun 03, 2009
Dear Christians in the house,

Why Advertising Miracles? Did our Lord Jesus advertised any?

Is it written in the Bible or wise to advertise miracles?

Why do some Bishops, Pastors, evangelist, and many more advertise miracles?

Pls could anyone tell us where is in the bible or the right to do so.

Thanks.

It is a very condemnable act. And in my opinion, It is probably the only evidence u need to know a "church" NOT of God.

Well, they advertise to impress the credulous, ignorant and gullible. And of course, to fleece them which is the main reason they advertise.

It depends on what you call miracles. some scientific discoveries are also called miracles but miracles that are promised in the bible, like healing the sick, raising the dead, drinking poison and not being affeted by it, and stepping on the head of wild snakes and not getting hurt do NOT happen. If miracles are real them why can't god heal amputees and make their amputated lims grow back? Why are miracles ALWAYS hidden or things that will eventually happen anyway? Go to the national hospital in abuja and see all the sophisticated live saving machies and other medical quipments that are inside the hospital, people pray all the time even when they are on those machines but the truth is if any body TRULY believes that there is a god that will heal them through miracles when they pray to him when they are sick non of those machines will ever be there.

Those engaging in the act of advertising miracles is satanic. They are not from God. They are flesh. They only do this so as to get members to their church through advertising their miracles the media with ultimate aim of making money. They are money conscious than the work of God. Therefore money and God are not identical because God is spirit and money is flesh.

Read (KJV) Galatian 5:16-17

5:16 "this I say then, walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh"

5:17 "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would"

Also check Gal. 5:22 -25;

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Have read the above bible assertion? Dear Christian Bretheren, any pastor found in such medium do not follow the footstep of God and he is not led by the Holy Spirit. He or she is after material things.

You should ask yourself. Why these so call Miracle men of God don't go to the motherless babies home or even to the hospital to perform their miracles. Why don't they do miracles to the poor and less priviledged ones as our Lord Jesus Christ did. It should be clear that they are after the wealthy individuals so as to extort wealth from them through their fake miracle. Is this from God

Why showing miracles on TV and in other media, is it a proof that God is there or a proof that His church also perform miracle, or it is used to draw people to God?

Did Jesus Advertise Miracles? -

In my opinion yes and No

Luke 5:13-14
When Jesus healed the man with Leprosy, He specifically instructed the man not to tell anyone what had happened . Jesus told the man
to offer the sacrifice that the moses law required. Why?
To avoid celebrity status which such news might bring and to fulfill the requirements of the law. However The news still broke out and vast
people seeked him out to hear him preach and to receive healing.

Now my question is will those people seek Jesus out if the act of miracle was not performed?
Remember when John the baptist was in Jail he sent his disciples to Jesus demanding if Jesus was the savior that Israel was expecting.
What was Jesus answer - The Miracles that he performed. John 17:4 confirms that the miracles that Jesus performed is part of the work
that GOD gave him to do in order to reveal the glory of God on earth.

In my opinion the act of miracle in itself is what attracts majority of people into the fold. It is the aftermath that concerns me. a lot of people stay
put in this stage, refusing to grow in knowledge, wisdom and the Word of God. That is where people become naive and open to abuse and exploitation.
The ministry of Miracle being a part of the ministry is absolute. But it must stay a "part".

A woman who is in her late 40s seeking the fruit of the womb has an immediate need. She will be attracted to where miracles are performed.
How will she get the info of where to go? when her need is met what should be her obligation?  To me that is the real issue?

Every pastors now are performing miracle and advertising their miracle on the media so as to attract more members to their church. Question: Is this power from God or man made power? Please I want to know.

The answer to that question is obvious

1. ask the pastor who is performing the miracle
2. or follow the person who is receiving the miracle home and investigate cool

The end of the road has now come for all those who employ foreign influences, talisman, amulets, concoction and other alien powers to fake miracles either in churches, mosques or other religious places.

His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu, the King of kings and Lord of lords had said every preacher who does not rely on the divine power of the Holy Spirit to preach and work miracles will be exposed and disgraced shortly one after the other.

He gave this decree recently at the world headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star when He spoke on the preponderance of fake miracles and deception in many churches and other religious organizations in many countries.

His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu affirmed that the Holy Spirit has since taken over total control of all events in the world and as such all things which are deceitful that are not made or planted by the Father will be uprooted and disgraced.

He expressed dismay at the avalanche of deceits and how so-called men of God go the extra length to hypnotize, deceive and employ extraneous powers, so that they can make money, pull large crowd and be popular.

He said God is not pleased at these ugly developments which in any case are the signs of the end times, a fulfillment of the scriptures. Subsequently, all those who bring disrepute to the name of God are all doomed, He said.

The Father said only the works of God will endure forever. Although Satan is powerful, He added, yet God is more powerful. Satan’s miracles are short lived. “God is not into all these abracadabra by church founders, but His works guarantee eternal peace and plenty.” These so-called men of God are after their ‘belle’ not to please God, the Father also added.

Following this decree by the Father, we should not be surprised to see more and more church founders being exposed around the world.

It's a pity that we still lack understanding on the purpose of miracles.
Re: Did Jesus Advertised Miracles? by Tudor6(f): 6:35am On Jun 29, 2009
Enlighten us please.
Re: Did Jesus Advertised Miracles? by Generica(m): 8:58am On Jun 29, 2009
Miracles are meant to give divine authenticity to the preaching of the word(Hebrews 2:1-4). Some other religions do perform miracles, signs and wonders, and they adhere to austerity, ascetic way of life, etc; violators are stictly disciplined.

On the contrast in christianity, God dispenses abundant benevolence and wishes all to repent and come to the knowlege of the truth. H knows the ungodly will eventually perish in hell, and He will give them enough time and even grace to explore His mercies and graces.

If god truly loves unbelievers and wants us get the ''knowledge of the truth'' , Why can't he just come down and manifest himself so we can all see him. . . .Only a fool will doubt after that.

Tudór:

Various presidents have ruled and many of them don't visit the poor masses, yet the masses don't complain. They are aware that he has their interestsd at heart. They also feel that he works tirelessly to put all machineries at work for the smooth running of politics and economy of the country. Some only came to know the president on the Telly, while others haven't even seen him; they only hear of him. In christianity we see the creation of God and read the Holy Book to understand the things that are made for our peace(John:20:29).

In the benevolent government of God, He's willing that all make use of their power of choice to love Him and come to Him. A good ruler will never force his subjects. God created us as full moral agents and His love shows itrself in the abundance of things He allows us to freely enjoy(Matthew 5:43-48).

God told Moses that no man will see Him and live(Exodus 33:18-20).

In the Divine order, we must worship God in spirit and truth if we are to feel after Him. Some germs have been known to be so minute that only powerful microscopes can barely see them. Scientists painstakingly go through all this, why shouldn't mankind carefully seek eternal wellbeing?
