Titanium backup is telling me unable to backup because of insufficient space on the device whereas I still have up to 7gb. What could be the problem?

Which is your default storage location, phone or sd card?? check the number of files u are trying to backup, some files could have enormous data size. Try saving each file+data one at a time instead of doing many at a time.
