The celebrity announced the name of her second hild via Twitter and her app

Many of her fans had been hoping she would choose "South" but Kim Kardashian West surprised them once again by calling her new baby "Saint".

Saint West, who weighed in at eight pounds one ounce, arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday.

But Mrs West, and rapper husband Kanye, waited for two days before announcing the name on Twitter and her app.
The couple's first child, daughter North West, was born in 2013.

Mrs West had tracked her pregnancy online for her 37 million Twitter followers, posting an image late on Friday of her bare belly with the caption "Ready whenever you are".

The 35-year-old reality television star and her 38-year-old husband were married last year in Florence, Italy.

Before the birth she had suggested the baby might be called Easton, but in the end decided not to go for a direction.
Ahead of the arrival she told NPR: "I think its so stupid, I don't like South West, because that's like, you know, North will always, you know, be better. I don't think we'll go with another direction."

And she told Ellen DeGeneres: "Every time someone says 'South' I just want to roll my eyes."

Last month she said: "I don't have names, which is so crazy. We just started talking about it and that was the last thing for us last time. So I feel confident obviously that we'll figure it out."

Following the birth the star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians called it the "most painful experience ever".

She underwent an external cephalic version procedure which avoided the need for a C-section.

She said: "They don’t give you any pain medication and let me tell you this was soooooo painful."

On social media there was a mixed reaction to the name.

One Twitter user said: "People have talked for years about streamlining the saint-making process. Kim and Kanye just did it."
