The Commander-a Poem by Nobody: 10:22am On Dec 17, 2015
Why do young men and women die for causes led by arm chair leaders who are not ready to lose a foot in same?Just wondering.

THE COMMANDER
Sitting on his stylish desk
He issued the commands
for the boys on the deck
Far away from the killings
He seals up the dealings

He lights up another Cuban Cigar
Deeming himself to be another Cougar
He radioed for more ammunition
While watching his mobile television

War is good
Coming with so many loot
As long as you are not
The one taking the bullets.
His foreign accounts are bursting at the seams
As he ceaselessly beams.

The front commander just called
The enemy forces are advancing
towards his headquarters
He fell off his cozy chair
It was time to run.
