Somebody Helllp! by Nobody: 8:38pm On Dec 17, 2015 |
Just discovered now that my break light and rear lamps are on. Tried all I know to turn them off but to no avail . Had to disconnect the battery. Does anybody have an idea what's wrong? Thanks |

Plus....my breaks failed today! Marched the break pedal right to the floor but the car kept going till it hit a wall; and thank God 'twas a wall. I was shocked. Thank God nobody was hurt. |

What do you mean by "rear lamps"? Thank God you are alright & nobody was hurt. Hope your car wasn't too damaged? You seem to have either ruined your brake light switch or bent it out of place. Check under your dashboard & you should see the switch. It is usually positioned above the metal bar of the break pedal. If it's bent out of place, just straighten & reposition it to be touching the pedal when the brake isn't pressed. If it is damaged you have to replace it. |

Brake was written twice in the bill (if it's same Car) did you pay for the fix? www.nairaland.com/attachments/3176566_ucphoto002_jpega1fafdab4b3ddfe60899c428903442a7 |
Re: Somebody Helllp! by Nobody: 7:41am On Dec 18, 2015 |
GAZZUZZ:Thanks. Yes it's same car. I actually do not want to go there again. I want a new mechanic. But if the fault is due to his tampering with the breaks I have to take it back to him. He changed break disks and then he charged 1500 for someone he claimed 'serviced the breaks' |

accountable01:Lol... very funny man. I asked that question because you said your "brake light & rear lamps" are on. The brake light to my understanding, is already part of the rear lamps. Are you saying other lights apart from the brake lights are on? |

0rex: I did not quite agree with his suggestions, and didn't want to contradict him either. he wanted to help and I appreciate that. And as it eventually turned out, he wasn't quite correct. |

DGD1:"Maturity is the ability to think, speak and act your feelings within the bounds of dignity". (Samuel Ullman) .... you haven't displayed so much of that so far. or do u think what makes u 'mature' is the brand and model of ur car |
