Some salient questions the president and the Chief of Army Staff must answer. 1. If your men(soldiers) came down and were begging the supposed terrorists to vacate the road how then was there an attempt made on the COAS? 2. Were shots fired in the air to disperse the crowd? 3. Who ordered the troops to fire. 4. Why did the army return to the sect's leader's house to arrest him and in so doing slaughtering his family? 5. Did they have weapons? If they did where are they? 6. How many people were killed? 7. Does the army have any right to engage a civilian population in anyway outside the CIC orders? 8. Outside the president, can soldiers engage a protesting people using live bullets? 9. Does the army have the right to effect any arrest of a citizen when a state of emergency has not been declared? Can the COAS or the army invite or forcefully invite anyone? What then is the role of the police? |
