Embattled former Benue Governor, Gabriel Suswam may have discovered all roads closed as he is believed to have returned to the negotiating table with the Benue State government in a believed deal to return a substantial part of his claimed loot.  According to inside sources the former governor who as at time of reportage was at the presidential lodge at the Benue State government house accompanied by the state Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN ), Arch. Bishop Yimam Orkwar has agreed to return part of his alleged loot for a soft landing. Suswam who arrived the Peoples House about 8 :00 PM in company of Orkwar who is supposed to be the go-between, has just been joined by the state governor to discuss mordalities on how to get pardon from the state while been left off the hook for corruption charges at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ) as well as the probe panels instituted to investigate the dealings of his administration. Although the meeting is ongoing and details are yet to be revealed, it is worthy to recall that this is not the first of such meetings as Suswam had in the inception of the administration initiated a truce meeting between him and the Governor Samuel Ortom, facilitated by the Catholic Bishop of the Katsina-Ala Diocese , Bishop Adobo in government House. It could be recalled that Gabriel Suswam and a former Commissioner for Finance, during his tenure, Omodachi Okolobia were charged to court on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015. They were arraigned before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on a nine count charge, bothering on money laundering.
