The Marathon M5 Plus is also expected to be thinner than the standard Marathon M5, but will sadly come with a lower battery capacity of 5020mAh.

Just as expected, Gionee has announced the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus with impressive upgrade, ranging from display size, better RAM and processing power, to an inclusion of a fingerprint scanner, in fact the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus sees an upgrade all round. Although the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus is not a replacement for the standard Gionee M5, but rather a Plus version for those needing something more.

About specifications, the Gionee Marathon M5 Plus features a 6-inches 2.5D AMOLED FHD display, built into a 160.9×81.2×8.4mm full metal body. Processing power comes from an octa-core Mediatek MT6753 chipset and MALI-T720MP2 GPU coupled with a 3GB of RAM and built in storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB.
