The importance and effect of the wedding songs cannot be relegated to the background or over emphasised. Nigerian wedding songs has a way of saying the mind of the couple, it also makes the ceremony more lively as everyone dances to the music while it’s playing.

Nigerians love weddings and great Nigerian wedding songs, we love life and we always tend to enjoy it to the fullest anytime there’s an opportunity to do so, part of what makes the life we live so enjoyable is the songs or music we play or listen to, whether on our own or together with other people during events and ceremonies like weddings, Child naming ceremonies, etc.

We found some of these songs to be the most popular Nigerian songs played at wedding ceremonies.

10. Yes/No by Banky W

Produced by Cobhams and co-directed by clearance peters and Banky W this song is a love story that has captured the heart of many ladies with the voice of the RnB crooner, Banky W and the dance moves in the video.

9. Beautiful Onyinye Remix ny Psquare ft Rick Ross

This original piece we love so much but with a remix featuring Rick Ross is another wedding favourite. It was produced by Mananz and Directed by their brother Jude Okoye.

8. Wedding Day by Tunde and Wunmi Obey feat Teniim

This is the latest addition to the lit and it is a love story that gives instructions on the institution of marriage. It is a happy and playful song. It was produced by Bayo Joseph and directed by Clearance Peters. We love the vibrant tunes

7. Olomi by Tosin Martins

Like African Queen, this has been around for a while. It is a soft, mid tempo number which makes a perfect first dance song, giving you the goose bumps as you dance in the hands of your lover. It was directed by Bimbo Ogunsanya.
