Our children are the most precious gift we have and keeping them safe is priority especially this Christmas season. This season is filled with excitement and joy; it is also a season where there is increase insecurity and it’s our responsibility as parent to ensure the safety of our children.
The following are 8 important safety tips for our children this season.

Teach children never to admit strangers into the home.
Teach your children never to accept gifts from strangers without parental consent.
Teach your children to be bold and polite.
Teach your children your phone numbers. Make sure younger children know their name, parent full name, address, and phone number.
Teenagers should avoid "blind dates" or meeting persons they do not know.
Teenagers especially females should avoid late night parties.
Teach younger children not to open mail or packages when you are not around.
Teach teenager and children how to answer the telephone so that they do not give out personal information, such as home address, absence of adults, etc.
Teach children how to say no to strangers.
Teach children how to exit the house in case of emergency.
