this is not someone annoyed at something obama did or didnt do, this is someone with a simmering dislike for the president most likely because of his color.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in  bonuses
> > to their staff members -- on top of the20$2.5 million in automatic pay
> > raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House

What has this to do with Obama? The bonuses to law makers has ALWAYS been a yrly routine, why is our dear teacher suddenly appalled NOW? When did the president get powers to restrict how much lawmakers get? Is that not the electoral duty of our outraged madam?

I

finally, after all the rant, she got around to saying the TRUTH . . . its not the president . . . its her.
If her country was so beautiful then why did it go ruin Iraq?

If Obama spent half the energy he uses sucking up to the Middle-East leaders, the most pointless of charades ever embarked on, to get on the good side of the real allies of the US, he will have a chance of ensuring major foreign policy victories.

No point in genuflecting to the Saudi leader while treating Merkel, Sarkozy and Brown with disdain.
Re: Fw: School Teacher's Letter To Obama by C2H5OH(f): 10:59pm On Jun 09, 2009
Yeah obama disappointed big time. He might as well have sucked their cocks while he was at it.

I tend to agree with you here. I think he assumes the only way to fight islamic radicalism is to get them to tone down the anti-american rhetoric. It wont work IMO. This is an ideological war.

The major problem started with asking Israel to give up settlements . . . that basically is the shot-in the arm that HAMAS needs to legitimize its "struggle".

how does Obama legitimize hamas when he scolded them during his speech? Obama is trying to give Abbas some strength.

Inviting them and the muslim brotherhood (banned in Egypt) for starters! you dont give abbas strength by undermining Israel.

I agree with freezing settlements and don't think it legitimises Hamas. To the contrary, stopping the expansion will legitimise Fatah at the expense of Hamas.

It's Obama's whole tone. He comes from the school of thought that thinks Islamism can be defeated if we were a little bit nicer and more concilliatory. 14 centuries of history should erase such thinking.

He is trying to undermine the right wing movement in Israel and not Israel per say.  Hamas's case is legitimized if the Israeli government continues to build settlement into lands that are supposed to be part of a Palestinian state.

The settlements are a blessing for an hamas propagandist.

The settlements are little more than a red herring, these are not the problem . . . its that Israel has dared to exist at all that gets HAMAS all hot and bothered.

That's true but what obama is trying to do is find a common ground between Israel and the "moderate" Arab world. Saudi-arabia isn't what you want to consider moderate but that part of the world is crazy.

Obama is trying to seem fair if he criticizes both Israel and hamas.

Lets be honest, wasnt this also a Bush tactic? Did it work? Bush constantly talked up Islam, cozied up to the Saudis . . . what did he get in return? Al Zaidi's size 11 shoes.

I remembered Rumsfeld saying ' that's old Germany" later on Bush went on EU tour appologising and asking them to contribute to Iraqi and Afghan missions. Iraqi alone has demonstarted that US is not an island. This is a face mending mission.
