Back in the days when private school are either few or non-existent( depending on the location), almost everyone went to public primary school. Even some went to school in remote villages where lot of things happened. From beating from the teachers, to playing with friends, cutting grasses, darkening the chalkboard, the list is just endless. One thing common to all public primary schools, back in the days, even till now is MARCHING SONGS which always indicate the end of assembly. E.g

Ise bere loni monday
eyin elegbe wa
E je ka mura
Ka gbadura si oba wa
to pa wa mo doni,

Ojo marun lan lo nile Iwe
Ko si'le ni satide
Kosi ile 'we ni sunday
Mura Mura ore
Ko mase sole,
