The governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu vowed not pay the new intakes , disregarding the beckon plea of his former Boss the immediate past governor of Abia State His excellency Senator T.A Orji who paid him a condolence visit in his country home in Obingwa to proffer a last respect to Ikpeazu's mother. In a chat during his visitation , senator T.A Orji enjoined him to pay the new intakes that he offered job to in the wake of his preparation for handover . But the call made by the past governor fell on deaf ears. Going by predicament and frustration meted out by Okezie Ikpeazu to the new intakes , it's noted that those who benefitted in the employment given by the past gov T.A are from 17 local govt in Abia state and there was no sectional display shown by His Excellency T.A Orji . It's recorded that T.A offered the employment to the youths from all corners of Abia state but unfortunately the new governor has nipped it in the bud disregarding CONTINUITY gesture that saw him clinch the position even when there were other heavy weights- it was obvious .Could it be that Okezie Ikpeazu wants to bite the finger that fed him? Could it be wickedness or paying his master back with a rough coin? Is it not the same T.A Orji who gave those youth job that worked so hard to give Okezie Ikpeazu mandate ? Is it not wickedness that governor Okezie Ikpeazu has beat his chest and refused to pay the new intakes who have worked for the last SIX MONTHS and yet nothing has been said or done to encourage them? In working so hard their hearts have been sorrowful as they are bereft of HOPE of getting paid yet they refused to give up. What has the Civil Service Commissimon done to forestall the disgrace to the commssion ,as we all know they are clad with autonomy? The govt should stop the unhelpful silent game the are playing on those new intakes and show some respect to them. The pathetic thing is that most of those new intakes are in E-governance team of the past and present administration ,which was founded or installed by senator T.A Orji to boost media outfit of the past and present government and it's noted that some of those new intakes worked so hard to ensure that governor Okezie Ikpeazu emerge victorious during the campaign and election period but ironically they have been treated with scorn. It's believed that Gov T.A is not happy because Okezie Ikpeazu disregarded almost the youth he gave waiver ,some whom he decided to reward for the diligent and hard work they showed during his time as governor , but Okezie Ikpeazu picked the Ngwa extraction in the midst thereby leaving the rest to spend the last six months working without any salary while those Ngwa extraction that are among the list have been getting their salary , among those connected to politicians in the state. The crust of the matter is that Abia State govt playing politics in the civil service by putting about 8 lawyers on the payroll , those who are in the list that were given waiver by T.A Orji. Abia State govt singled them out just to shut them up incase they raise dust and sue the govt for not paying their salaries while the rest suffer it.Our question is ," What is the reason behind paying those posted to the Ministry of Justice, when they are equally given waiver as the other non-lawyers ? Does that show equity and fairness ? " Governor Okezie Ikpeazu , please show love to the new intakes , talk to them , send a message to them, let them know their fate. Its the same hand that fed you that wanted to feed them , it's the same man who put you in for the mandate you seized up that put them in for employment .They are not from different political structure . Show them love , call them to yourself and speak life into them. They have worked for SIX MONTHS .They all deserve reward. Even if you do not want to absorb them , let them know what their fate is .They are humans . They all come from homes . Six months and still counting means indefinite punishment for poor youths who deserve some explanation and regard.That's all we have to air .Thank you and God Bless Abia State .
