As we stand on the brink of 2016, the Goal team look ahead to the coming 12 months and pinpointed the top 10 African wonderkids who could be set to break out this year.

But which of our top ten can go furthest in the game?
Some, such as Nigeria and Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, have already proved to be difference-makers in crucial contests at the highest level. Can he, for example, demonstrate that he can be a consistent performer in the Premier League?

Others, such as Adama Traore and Victor Osimhen, have shone at youth level, but remain on the peripheries of first-team football. What can they achieve in the coming 12 months?
And what of a player such as Rivaldo Coetzee, who is a regular first-team performer in the PSL—and a first-choice international for one of the continent's biggest nations—but is still only a teenager!?
The likes of Ajax and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the talent, could they get their man in 2016 and send another young wonderkid on his path to glory?
Comment below and let us know which of the continent's brightest talents you're most excited about watching develop in 2016.
Or is there anyone we've missed? Comment and let us know who you'd love to see in this shortlist.
