Our Naira falls because of the demand for forex. We r import based. So it appears that the 2 major source of forex Nigeria has is oil and yahoo. These are the 2 major sources Nigeria gets forex. It's shameful but true. It is actually these yahoo boys that sustain our naira. Even as oil prices fall, they keep bringing forex into the country. Who knows how much the Naira would be without them. They should not be celebrated, but not overlooked as well. Nigeria should be ashamed that it's fraudsters that sustain our currency. Govt should try and revive other areas for export. |

Oil and Remittances from diaspora. Nigerians mainly in the US and UK sent home $20 billion in 2014 according to the world bank. This is likely to increase as bad times will shift more Nigerians abroad. |
