PPPRA Fuel To Sell At 86.50 from January1,2016
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) Tuesday announced a 50k reduction in the
pump price of petrol.
According to a statement released by Farouk Ahmed, executive secretary of the agency, the commodity,
which officially sold for N87/litre, will now sell for N86.50k/litre.

this is what I call chickens change. what is the difference between N87 and N86.50. technically they've removed the subsidy. not forgetting petrol is now $37 per barrel. what if their is an increase in the global oil price. we are left in the hands of the oil marketers who will control the price, while masses suffers.

Please those with better understanding should explain to us the difference between #87 and #86.50 because i'm a litle confused here. 50kobo reduction? I thought they promised to reduce it to #40/#45 per litre if elected.

Inconsistency is what you get when you governed by Technicalities ...

I hope it won't be Mechanically increased to 100 per liter in due course as the government is yet to grapple with the dynamics of the oil industry.

We are going to av serious problem next year. We will be at mercy of d marketers just look at what is happening with AGO(diesel) oil prices as gone down but not diesel.

One thing is sure; there won't be an ojota parade this new year unlike Gej's new year's package. Can't wait to see PMB deal a final blow on wailers through subsidy removal.
