emeshot: Please note that VIN report for the MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER advertised in this thread reveals that it is a stolen car!!! Here is an entry from the vehicle report: 08/31/2008 Insurance Bureau of Canada Vehicle reported stolen The IBC Ivestigative Services whose telephone number is listed in the report was contacted and they verified that the vehicle was indeed stolen in Canada and never recovered. Let sellers and posters be warned to the fullest extent that, the offer for sale of stolen goods or the conduct of fraudulent activities is against forum rules to say he least, and is potentially criminal. Criminal activities or fraudulent acts will not be tolerated or supported here. We are building the best online auto mart in Nigeria and every seller is urged to do everything possible to avoid offering stolen cars for sale. Monitor_1

Monitor_1, The autocheck link above is connected to a QX56, which the Outlander report immediately precedes This stolen vehicle development is disturbing to say the least, one of those urban legends I'd heard but never actually seen. I guess it does happen afterall! |

wow! Big up monitor 1. No one does it better than you do. People should endeavor to run the history of their advertised vehicles before putting it up here for sale. |

Woaah! Stolen, huh? Totally unrelated, Emeshot, but why do you always photograph your odometers vertically, and fail to rotate the images before you upload them in your adverts?? |

Monitor_1 If your vin checks has shown this to be a stolen car, then delete the advert immediately, there is no need advertising a stolen car or telling the poster to change the topic to reflect it was stolen making a pity party over a spilt milk. We have seen it was stolen, do us a favour by deleting it. emeshot, Do yourself a favor and delete this advert immediately, you owe it to yourself and your repuatation to make checks before advertising any car on this forum, you spam the auto section and this should be a lesson to you, just dont post any car you see on the road for sale, make your own detailed checks before you advertise any car. I wish you good luck. |

gestapo: I'm not sure that we'll be doing nairalanders any favour by deleting this thread. No useful purpose is served by sweeping the issue under the rug. The issue at hand is a very serious one and should be discussed. It is most important to convey in the strongest possible terms that there is zero tolerance for fraud or criminal activities in this Auto section. The course of action I've taken was in consultation with the site adminstrator and I'd suggest that you to take up your objections with him. There is no point crying over spilt milk, the cat is out of the bag already. Monitor_1 |

Monitor_1: Monitor_1, You know in your heart of heart that the vehicle advertised does not belong to the advertiser, he has said times without number that he is a middleman just like you and most dealers on this section. Moreover if he had anything to hide he would not have posted the Vin with the advert, the singular act of posting the vin number has shown that the poster was not award it was a stolen vehicle. Most of our posters on this forum don't have access to carfax or autocheck because of credit card issue and hence should not be crucified when issues comes up with their cars. As regards taking my objectives to the admin of this site, leave that to me till when I'm done with my compilations. Lest I forget, your last statement sounds like the one from a man I know, his name is Akuya. LOL |

Re: ***Stolen 2002 Mitsubushi Outlander For sale **** by Nobody: 12:43pm On Jun 23, 2009 |
gestapo: You are well within your rights to express your opinion even if they differ from other people's - one has to respect it anyway. My own opinion is that, it is not enough to post the VIN of a stolen car and then wash your hand from culpability, albeit you could be a clear accessory to a crime. If one is attempting to sell a vehicle for millions of naira, the least he/she should do is to know the product that is being sold and its source. Anything short of that is basically foolish and stupid. I urge every seller to be more careful especially if the seller is a middle man. If the police catches up with anyone that is attempting to sell a stolen vehicle, the excuse that "I posted the Chassis number" or "I didn't know it was stolen" will not hold water. The seriousness of the issue at hand cannot be minimized. Monitor_1 |

Jenju aka Monitor, before throwing the baby out with the bath water, was that the last entry on the VIN report? Can you supply the full unadulterated copies of Carfax, Experian and Carproof for this VIN number because some states tend to classify recovered stolen vehicle as salvage in case you don't know Not making excuses for anyone, but I remember something alongst the same line happened to Carshopper a couple of weeks ago whereby you were already accusing him of allsorts and your finger was itching to pull the trigger, until he was able to exhonerate himself, so who knows if this is a similar situation Fine if you want to take on the job of providing VIN numbers, but IMHO you need to be supplying the full VIN not a possibly doctored version And you better don't be harassing me via PM not to out you as Jenju or Akuya or report me for a ban to Seun unless you want the whole of Nairaland to know what we cooked that burnt the house down. I might come across as dumb sometimes, but you cannot lecture me about Static IP's and IP by proxy and cookies and . . . And for the record, I have concrete proofs to back up the claim that Monitor1 is Jenju, and I knew from day 1 because not only was his coming foretold, but there has also been plenty of written proofs too |

Monitor_1: I am very dissappointed in your chosen path of judgement on this issue. Emeshot is a young man trying to make a living by being a middleman for car sales. Many middlemen hardly know how these cars are brought it. The importers don't give them full details. That they even post the VINs is because there is no way that these importers can hide what is engraved on the car. Cut the boy some slack, and delete this damn thread. Good enough that we have discovered it was a stolen vehicle, leaving the thread laying about will only scare more new comers on this auto forum away than retain them. Delete the thread , This is not JUST MY OPINION( which i'm entitled to) it's actually THE WISEST THING TO DO for the sake of us all(including yourself). SIMPLE! For the records, Monitor is NOT same person Jenju |

^^^ I don't know about others, but the way you casually dropped the name of the Admin into the equation already gave me an inkling as to what's happened, but that still does not explain why we don't yet have the full comprehensive report for Carfax, Carproof and Experien. The reason I keep harping on about this is because there has been instances (Ziontrain anyone ) whereby a car deemed to be total loss in the last entry in the VIN check by Autocheck, was seen to have been used for a further 17 months in the United States in the report by Carfax, which meant it was put back on the road in US, before it was finally shipped to Africa. Hence my request is not preposterous, and would only help clarify things further. The dealer Emeshot already knows that VIN reports are provided for cars advertised on NL so if he had any evil intention in mind, rather than allow his reputation to be smeared in this manner, he could have simply said the car was Nigerian used in order to circumvert the need to to provide the mandatory VIN number. This thread being kept alive is not serving any purpose and will backfire in no time. This is a boomerang that will come back to smack all you dealers in the face, because people will start becoming wary of coming here to buy cars. |

Busy_body: Why are people clamoring for the thread to be deleted, the owner has not in anyway asked for it . Baseless and useless insinuation is not new on here busy_body. IP address is there for admin to see ,before he considers anyone as a moderator. In as much as I know emishot is a middle man like you guys, this thread should remain here to serve as a deterrent to others, he can change his username for all i care. One of the things that make this site thick is zero tolerance to corruption. |

Good Job Monitor_!!!!, No word from Emeshot yet. I am very sure he would not have posted a stolen car on NL on purpose, Talk-less of trying to sale it via the internet. I am happy at the decision of Admin to keep the thread for at least a while so as to sound a warning, that stolen car cannot be traded on NL. To all those that smuggle stolen cars into 9ja…ur days in that racket are numbered!! |

Igwe.: Everyone has a right to their own opinion, so if you don't like it, take a hike or look the other way, shikena, leave those clamouring for the thread to be deleted alone, what they eat don't make you shit And what do you intend to gain by forcing the dealer to wear and carry a "I sell stolen car" tag round his neck by forcing him to change the thread title Why can't a seperate "stolen car detected for sale thread" be created and stickied if need be Igwe.: And are you saying this accusation levelled against Emeshot could be baseless and useless too Igwe.: Don't have a problem with whatever the ADMIN Seun decides to do, it is his forum afterall, all I am concerned about is Moderator Jenju harassing people via PM or YIM to remove his name, I ain't ready to lie or cover up for no one anymore, I am only accountable to God, and I intend to call it as i see it from now henceforth Igwe.: Hello, by your "you guys" comment, are you trying to rope me in as a car dealer too Don't worry if I decide I need a career change, you will be one of the first to know And by your "for all I care statement" are you indirectly telling us you have gone back to your usual mode of two people having access to the userID Igwe. cos I see no cogent reason whatsoever as to why the irrelevant "for all i care statement" is being brought into the equation Yeah and that VIN report you have up there is just one of three, and I know you can count |

You know who you work for, lemme break it down for you: Busy_body: Then why are you on the disgraceful protest again. Busy_body: that, you'd have suggested not now you 've already made a mess of yourself. Busy_body: I meant that you accuse everybody that says, let there be no corruption on here to be JENJU, just as you always accuse me of,, either directly or indirectly. Busy_body: The last i checked, our moderator was monitor 1, see what over-zealous has done to you, I see you as one the dealers on here that the compulsory VIN disclosure affected drastically, I'm sincerely sorry , I simple couldn't subscribe to any form of magomago(corruption). Busy_body: you just said that yourself Busy_body: This is not the first time of you making such insinuation or allegation,as long as you associate me with the upright people , i don't have problems with it at all, just that you are only making a stinking mess of yourself. '' for all i care'' is my own opinion not yours Busy_body:Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand, see you |

Igwe.: Who I work for, me Can all of you put together afford me, I no fit shout Igwe.: Sorry my opinion seems disgraceful to you, but then I bet you know the saying about opinions and arseholes and what I think of your too Igwe.: Y'all are a hell of a lot older than I am so why should I be the one saddled with the unpalatable job of imbibing common sense into your head Igwe.: I don't know I am still not allowed to talk, but kindly zip it up and and lets not start discussing who Ms Kike and co is, drop it, lets not go there yeah Igwe.: Sure you don't want me to dredge up some of your posts heralding the coming of Monitor, so once again zip it up if you want peace to reign Igwe.: Then I wholeheartedly claim your vision then, since it is not a bad thing to be a cardealer Igwe.: Yeah see you in heaven, hopefully, would not hold my breath though Igwe.: Why are you bothered about me wallowing in the mess if not that you know the shit hitting the fan is yours And as for you denying the insinuation/allegation, keep sinning, God will judge you someday Igwe I don't have your time, find someone else who just might care to practise your damage control act on |
