The drama which took place at the 10th edition of the Headies held in Lagos on Friday night is no longer news to Nigerians and Nigerian Music Industry lovers all over the globe.While some see it as a show of foolishery,some regard it as a show of immature,others don't know what word to define it with in their dictionaries.
However,there is a part of the annual event which the world seem not to notice.
Olamide is not actually referring to Don Jazzy and Crew with his outburst.He was trying to make it clear to the judges that it is Lil Kesh that worth the award of Next Rated Artiste by explaining that "He (Lil Kesh) is our next rated artiste..." He goes further by explain thus : "...He had back-to-back hits throughout the year—Lyrically,Shoki,Gbese’ and ‘Efejoku...." Olamide believe that votes aside,the result or the award panel has been bought (if he doesn't believe that the votes result has been tampered).
And Don Jazzy wanted to play boss by saying "Egbon (Brother) Olamide,if you want the car come and collect it.God bless you" This sparked it all off as YBNL Boss take to his Twitter handle to express his feelings amidst which he banned Don Jazzy from Lagos Mainland.
However, Olamide later took to his Instagram page to apologise to his fans for his conduct at the event.Fans divided on the incident- some go with Eyan Mayweather,some side with Marvins Records Don and others sit on the fence.
Furthermore,Lil Kesh who first said he makes more than SUV in two weeks later congratulated Reekado Banks.
