Speaking at the church’s annual crossover night service held at its Prayer City on Sunday, January 3, Olukoya warned Nigerians that they would witness a “violently crashing economy”.

He also predicted that the new year would experience “acidic judgment on those who shed innocent blood, no matter their religion, because no man has the right to take the life of a fellow human being.”

Saying that “2016 will be a year of destruction of blood-thirsty campaigns”, the cleric called on Nigerians to pray against senseless massacres.

According to Olukoya, the year 2016 will witness more earthquakes, tsunamis, mysterious crashes and disappearances. He further stressed that children of God need serious prayers to tackle activities of eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood in the new year.


“2016 shall be a year of sudden change and turn around, where slave catchers will become slaves and labours of past years shall be compensated, anywhere.

“Stubborn, long-time enemies of God’s children will be in trouble, while seats and positions of God’s children, presently occupied by wrong persons, shall be recovered this year, as evil gates of Christians’ fathers’ houses shall be forced open,” he said.

Speaking about the international political scene, the cleric called for prayers for the so-called super powers because some of their decisions angered heaven.

Meanwhile, Apostle Eugene Ogu, the general overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission, has predicted that Nigeria will experience economic boom, while country’s currency will gain strength in the first quarter of 2016.

However, contrary to Ogu’s optimistic prediction, Bro. Joshua Iginla, the general overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, warned Nigerians that the economy would be very tasking and quite challenging. According to him, fuel price will be rising and the masses will be helpless over it.
