8 PRACTICAL TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

The tips are simple and straight-forward.when you start applying them,you will experience a great improvement on your CGPA no matter how low it is,the tips are practical and you must really do them consistently.Let me also add that academic excellence can't be achieved by mistake, you have to know what it takes to have it and also do them diligently or else mediocrity or even worse will set in. Now,Are you ready for them? Alright,let's start;

(1).SIT IN FRONT DURING CLASSES
In front? YES!,In front of the whole class, most preferably on the first row and how do you achieve that? Simply by going early for classes.
Have you really sat down to think why people rush to get the front seat?,You haven't i guess. Those people really know the difference between sitting at the front and sitting anywhere else. You get to hear the lecturers well and it draws your attention really close to what is being lectured.

(2).JOT DOWN DURING CLASSES
Apart from the normal notes for everyone, you need to jot down when explanation is on going, you never can tell, some lecturers are so wise that they set questions from what they said during explanation rather from the notes.
let me include here that what determines the rate of assimilation of each student at the end of a lecture is his/her level of concentration, jotting down points will increase your level of concentration as well as assimilation.

(3).ATTEND CLASSES
This is self explanatory and also important, your own attention to the lecturer during classes matters a lot, apart from the fact that you will copy note, you need to be present to hear for yourself and also prevents you from being a victim of sudden and impromptu tests.

(4).READ DAILY
From the start of the semester to the end of the semester, read daily. Why? It keeps you focused,no matter how long you read just make sure you learn something each day, with time you will start reading and studying daily without reluctancy but willingly and passionately trust me on that.

(5).READ BEFORE CLASSES
If you have ever done this before, you would know the difference between going to class empty-headed with no idea of what to be taught at all and having the knowledge and idea of what is to be taught during the class, everything will just be cool and easy for you as you will assimilate faster while others are struggling to understand.

(6).STUDY PAST QUESTIONS
Past questions are pointers to what is likely to come out if at all you want to get the gist of that and that's why you should study the past question before or along with the study of your notes, you may not understand the questions just yet but it would sink into your consciousness that whenever the lecturer wants to teach you that same topic, you would remember and pay a closer attention.

(7).SEEK HELP FROM FRIENDS/LECTURER
"Two heads are better than one" they say,if anything seems like a magic trick to you during lectures, call on the lecturer or your close friends to ask for help, don't keep them to yourself.

(cool.LIKE YOUR LECTURERS
Have you ever noticed that when some lecturers give lectures, majority of the students tend to listen, participate and pay close attention? that's because they like the man standing in front of them, when you like your lecturers you assimilate maximally from their lectures but if you hate them,am sorry, you may not pass their courses.

#Stay blessed.

Sitting in front during classes does not guarantee improved academic performance. You can sit in front and still get worse in your academics.

It is one thing to hear the lecturer, it's another thing for your academic performance to improve. Besides the federal institutions I attended usually make arrangements for the use of microphones. With that sitting in front, in the middle, or at the back becomes irrelevant.

Sitting in front is very much relevant as you can draw the lecturer's attention easily through asking questions and being clarified easily. Besides it wouldn't be easy to get distracted by other students unlike back benchers.
