André Morgan Rami Ayew born 17 December 1989), also known as Dede Ayew in Ghana.

is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Swansea City and the Ghana national team.
He is the second-born son of three-time African Footballer of the Year and FIFA 100 member Abedi "Pele" Ayew and has two brothers, Ibrahim and Jordan, who also are professional footballers. In 2011 Ayew was named the BBC African Footballer of the Year and Ghanaian Footballer of the Year.

Born in France to Ghanaian parents, Ayew began his career in Ghana, playing for Nania, while debuting for the club at age 14. In 2005, he signed with his father's former club, Marseille, and spent two seasons in the club's youth academy before making his debut in the 2007–08 season. Gnégnéri Yaya Touré (born 13 May 1983),

known as Yaya Touré, is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City and the Ivory Coast national team for whom he is the captain.

Touré aspired to be a striker during his youth and has played centre back, including for FC Barcelona in the 2009 UEFA Champions League Final, however he has spent the majority of his career as a box-to-box midfielder for club and country, where he has been regarded as one of the world's best players. He was voted African Footballer of the Year for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Touré began his playing career at Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas, where he made his debut aged 18. His performances attracted attention from Europe. Touré had stints with Beveren, Metalurh Donetsk, Olympiacos, and AS Monaco before moving to Barcelona in 2007. He played over 100 matches for the club and was part of the historic 2009 Barcelona side that won six trophies in a calendar year. In 2010 Touré moved to Premier League club Manchester City where he scored a number of key goals for the Citizens – most notably the only goals in the 2011 FA Cup semi-final and final. He also helped City earn its first league title in 44 years.

Touré has a distinguished international career with over 100 caps for the Ivory Coast, representing the team at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup tournaments. He also represented Ivory Coast in six Africa Cup of Nations in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015, helping them finish runner-up in 2006 and 2012, while captaining them to victory in 2015. He is the younger brother of his Ivory Coast teammate Kolo Touré. They played together at Manchester City for three years, before Kolo was transferred to Liverpool in 2013.

As the continent converge in Abuja on Thursday, January 7 for the 2016 edition of the Glo-sponsored CAF awards, here are 8 quick facts about the award you need to know…

1.This is the 44th CAF awards ceremony.

2.The award first held in 1970

3.Previous editions have seen the main category (African Footballer of the year) won by 32 different winners from 16 countries.

4.Cameroonian players have won the main category award a record 11 times, with Samuel Eto’o leading with 4 wins.

5.Yaya Toure ties with Eto’o at the top spot after also winning 4 times.

6.Yaya Toure has won the award 4 times in a role.

7.Kanu Nwankwo is the only Nigerian player to have won it twice (1996 and 1999).

1.3 CAF Coach of the Year

Emmanuel Amuneke
vs
Herve Renard,

The 2015 AFCON win was after 23 years of wait by the Ivorians who last celebrated AFCON success in 1992.
Renard also led unfancied Zambia to win the 2012 AFCON in Gabon, incidentally at the expense of Cote d’Ivoire.

Former FC Barcelona winger Amuneke, on the other hand, led Nigeria to win the FIFA U17 World Cup in November in Chile.
