Where did all the money go- Tinubu/Fashola/Ambode

eaglechild:
We can't complete Lagos light rail project

We obviously can't complete Lekki international phantom airport.

And you will be the biggest fool to think that we can complete Eko Atlantic.

Use your head people where do you think we are getting all the money we are using to sponsor Buhari undecided

please nailanders, what is the normal weight for every human being. Thanks

It depends on ur height.
BMI-Body Mass Index is used to determine over or under weight. The BMI is a function of ur weight and height.
However, for a man with average height 65-70kg is appropriate.
Re: [photos] Flood In Lekki Phase 1 Despite No Rain by WeldHome: 2:28pm On Jan 07, 2016
Some part of Lagos state are waterlogged and you don't need rain to flood it at times. In my area at Ijegun, waterside, whenever the ocean is overflowing, we always experience flooding which will last for about 1-2 hours twice a day (morning and evening). This usually happens during April and November/December periods..

Is might actually be an effect of the Eko Atlantic City Project. Because I believe huge filling was done on that place in order to start that project. When the water sees no where to rest, it will overflow to other places. I might be wrong tho.

Just take these pictures of your street and forward it to Channel TV News with all the relevant details. That was what some residents did, when there was no solution to the case of Freedom Way leading into Lekki Phase 1, at the 3rd roundabout. For over 4 years that road was an eyesore and a cesspit. After the news was aired on Channels TV last year, Ambode swung into action and ordered that it should be fixed. Now, work has progressed on that road even though it is yet to be completed. sadis lekki meant

The state govt collects Land Use Charge without fail, from all the residents/landlords in that estate every year. Why is it so difficult to fix such simple things like roads, in that same area? undecided
is lekki meant for the poor, what are richmen doing tto solve tragedy

Caused by poor drainage planning. The outlet for the collected water to the Lagoon is on the same level as most of the drains. So what this means is that they gutters always had water in them and when the sea is on high tide, the water flows back to the gutters and over-flows to the road.

Believe it or not, this is Emma Abimbola Cole street in Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos. And no, it's not sometime in rainy July, it's the evening of 6th of January 2016..

The spot has been waterlogged throughout the harmattan and I don't know why. I'm getting pretty frustrated with it, because the road beneath the flood has degraded and is now very bad. We hear it has something to do with a leakage of pipes from the water board which is very close to the bad spot. Whatever it is, we the residents of the neighbourhood are quite frustrated with it, it's been so since I moved here almost two years now.

Please, publish this and shame the right authority into doing their job (it's a shame that that is the tactic tax-paying citizens have to resort to for basic amenities in Nigeria). I'd be truly grateful if you do. Thanks

I know this area very well, and don't think the flood is as a result of any leakage. What we are witnessing is nature in its true sense as most of the area were sand-filled and converted to residential areas. The place was naturally meant to be a river. I pray tsunami will not visit lekki inhabitants someday.

If you know anything about Ocean beds, you will know that some parts of Lagos is just an accident waiting to happen.

We live in a poor society where people grab lands because they believe they came their first.
No one surveyed the areas to ascertain whether it was good to live or not.
And there is no need for them to pray and fast so that it wont happen.
It is nature, its going to happen someday because nature is who you send your prayers to.
Everything has been designed by nature and each will happen when it will.

This may have something to do with the the continued rise in Sea level.Several other parts of Lekki are experiencing something similar.

If nature sustains the current rate of rise in Sea level over 50% of Lekki and Victoria Island mayb submereged in the next 20yrs -30yrs.

Successive Lagos state governments may spend large resources battling this ecological change.

this scares me, sometimes i feel like one day everything might get taken over by water , i hope not

Just check the drainage, is it flowing? No. See bush everywhere, why every small thing government? there is landlord association there, they can't make any little effort, they only know how to charge exorbitant price for house rent. Useless people with big belle. Big men for that matter
