Uk-based Juju musician, Soji Adebayo, better known as Mr Solek, was at the palace of the newly crowned Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, few days ago to pay homage. Surprisingly,the 40-year-old monarch, who is a big fan of the Hip-Tungba originator, declared him one of his official musicians after a long meeting. Born in England, Mr Solek also known as Wonderboy, is one of the entertainers doing Nigeria proud in diaspora. He was raised in Ibadan and moved back to his country of birth in the early 90s to pursue an active career as a performer. Solek, who has worked with the likes of Don Jazzy and other prolific producers and artistes worldwide, is also known to be a pop artiste, having churned out several hit singles.
