Advertisement on 2009/2010 Post-JAMB Screening Exercise
NOTICE TO ALL CANDIDATES SEEKING ADMISSION INTO THE RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR 2009/2010 ACADEMIC SESSION

All candidates who selected the Rivers State University of Science and Technology as their first choice University during the 2009 Universities Matriculation Examination (UME) are hereby requested to take note of the following:
The screening exercise for admission of candidates will be administered only on candidates who chose RSUST as their first choice University.
Candidates who chose Rivers State University of Science and Technology as their second choice are not expected to apply for now.
The University will consider candidates on the second choice in a latter screening exercise after the first choice admission has been concluded.
Candidates who scored 180 and above in the University Matriculation Examination (UME) are the only ones qualified for the screening exercise in all the faculties of the University.
Candidates who qualify for the screening exercise are required to buy scratch card at the rate of N2,000.00 from the following banks on campus
Intercontinental Bank Plc
Skye Bank Plc
United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc.
Candidates are expected to register for the screening tests on-line (internet) and log on to www.ust.edu.ng in order to complete their registration process. Candidates are advised to use accredited cyber cafes (BOF and NetXpress) within the University campus.
Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport size picture.
Candidates are to note that this year's mode of examination is ELECTRONIC. Therefore it is pertinent that candidates PRACTICE how to use the computer especially the use of the mouse and keyboard before they turn out for the screening exercise.
The closing date for the registration of the post-UME Screening exercise is 30th June, 2009.


Schedule of Screening Exercise
The Post - UME screening exercise will take place from 1st July to 7th July 2009 at the Information Technology Centre (ICT) of the University. Candidates are requested to please note that their Post-UME Screening Exercise is as scheduled as in the Screening exercise slip they print out after their online registration for the screening exercise. The scheduled date, time and venue shall be indicated in the Post-UME exams slip.

Candidates who fail to appear for the screening exercise on the scheduled date and time will have themselves to blame. All candidates for the screening exercise are required to come to the examination venue with the following:
Their Post-UME exam slip printed out during the online Post-UME Registration.
All credentials and documents required in the Post-UME exam Slip.
No GSM phones will be allowed during the Post UME screening exercise.
Parents, Guardians and well-wishers are advised to stay away from the test centres in their own interest.

Candidates must report at the examination venue one hour (1 hour) before the scheduled exam time on their exam slip.

It is important to note that the names of successful candidates for admission shall be published on the same site (www.ust.edu.ng) too.

my bros, the card is only sold only in the school banks.If u will find it difficult to come down to the school to buy the card, why don't you look for someone to help you buy the card. I know you can fill the form any where, not like last year they made it to be done in the school's ICT.
