Current FIFA Ballon D'or holder, Cristiano Ronaldo, surprised everybody last night after he posted a congratulatory message to Lionel Messi on his Instagram page. Ronaldo, who has constantly being portrayed in the media as aloof and arrogant, went against known convention by congratulating Messi ahead of the Ballon D'or gala on Zurich. By this action he conceded that Messi was the better player in the past year, and deserves the gong. The message read: " Congratulations to my Friend Messi on his 5th Ballon D'or.
