We Won’t Release Metuh, Until He Returns N400m — EFCC by HungerBAD: 2:30am On Jan 12, 2016
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has said that the continued detention of the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is due to his unwillingness to admit and return the ‘over N400 million’ he allegedly received from embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, denied claims it was on a witchhunt of leaders of the opposition PDP after its continued detention of Metuh and release of Jafaru Isa, an All Progressives Congress chieftain.

Magu claimed that Mr. Isa had begun the process of refunding the money in his possession, Mr. Metuh had refused to do same.

”From the records, Metuh got over N400 million, he has not said anything because we need the public money to be returned so that it’s going to be used for public good,” Mr. Magu said during a meeting with online media publishers in Lagos.

“Also Jafaru Isa, what Dasuki gave him was N170 million. He also agreed…of course he has collected that money, he was with us for 4-5 days and then he made a deposit of N100 million and entered an undertaking to bring the rest. That does not mean we will not prosecute him.”

“But this other Metuh, instead of going for a refund, he has admitted he collected money…. so instead of… he still has the money because the money is too much. Instead of returning the money, he preferred to go on strike.”‎

Mr. Isa, a former military governor of Kaduna State, was arrested last Wednesday by EFCC operatives for allegedly receiving N170 million from the Dasuki.
Mr. Metuh, the Spokesperson of the PDP, has been in EFCC custody since January 5‎.

The EFCC boss insisted the Commission is not selective in its anti-corruption war‎, noting that only people involved in “some certain action or inaction of corruption” are being invited for questioning.

“Nobody who is not corrupt, who is not involved, is with us,” he said.

Monies that have already been spent on bride prices, cars, travelling, and so many wastefully extravagant things. Metuh should be put in one of those gay infested jails so he can taste the consequence of what his party has left on ground.

Zombies everywhere, so Efcc now has the right to arrest and detain citizens instead of charging them to court. Why not charge Metuh to court and let the court decide if he should return any money or not. There seems to be no regard for human right in this administration.

I don't expect you to have the brain to digest what you just read. The rate you supporters of yam eater now believe in the courts is alarming.Just refund the money you collected and get released but he is forming voltron. You will be surprise what will befall you when the whole thing ends.

The yams got to the belly of the olden days goat indirectly. The situation where a yam meant for Mr White Goat would be first allocated to a cock, which would then pass on to duck, then hen, lizard and finally to Mr White Goat. This was to cover the goats track for the fear of been apprehended by the owners of yams. The tactics changed during the last government where yams were put directly in the belly of Goats. Yam eating was liberalized. It wasn't seen as a crime.

In case Mr Methus fails to voluntarily vomit yams he has eaten, I advised EFCC to descend several punches on his belly so that yams could be forcefully ejected. He deserves no mercy. He must be made to vomit the blood money.

Metuh should return the N400m "Gift" he received directly from Dasuki now. He should be allowed, while in the custody of EFCC to talk on NTA for PDP, GEJ and Dasuki on the $2:1b sharing and on why it wasn't used purposefully.

This Maga of a guy has got guts o. How can you insist on keeping someone who has pleaded not guilty on continuous detention? It is obvious the EFCC are becoming aware of the fact that 'comical Ali's' opposition role that brought Buhari on board is a mere joke compared to Metu's ingenuity in that regard, hence the unlawful detention. what a hocus pocus. Metu is like the mouth piece of the gods. Seems to me APC is not confident of the courts. Not to worry, 2019 would speak volumes. We don't need any leadership in PDP to vote Buhari out for his selective probe. See then!

Nigerians have short memories and they have forgotten how Abacha used failed bank tribunals to get and imprison his political enemies, and how obj used the efcc and ribadu to silence and remove governors who opposed his 3rd term bid . Now a similar scenario is gradually playing out, very soon these efcc will be set on every single political figure within or outside apc that criticises buhari and his government
