I brought to your notice some time ago that accessing Nairaland home page directly from the browser does not open. On the thread, other users affirmed this and that it was predominant on Airtel network and Internet Explorer. it is really annoying as i'm surfing with Mozilla Firefox and still noticing the same issue (Airtel Network).

could it be an injected malware that tried to redirect NL users? sometimes i've noticed a successful redirecting to some crazy malware infected sites. you could try a virus scan and clean up (don't know about these things anyway)
