Lai Mohammed Visits Arase, Requests 24hrs Police Protection For Broadcast Houses by vivianblog1(f): 12:52pm On Jan 13, 2016
Nigeria’s Information Minister, Lai Mohammed, was at the Police Headquarters in Abuja today.
There, he asked the police to help protect highly-vulnerable places like markets, motor parks, etc which are Boko Haram’s targets following its decimation.

He specifically asked for “24-hour police protection, at no extra cost” for the premises of broadcast organisations in the country.

In response, Police IG, Solomon Arase said the police would capitalise on the visit to tap from the experience of the Minister to enrich policing in Nigeria.

He added that they would work out a plan for the immediate deployment of policemen to media houses across the country.
