1. Nigerian men are said to treat their wives as second in command. According to someone: ‘…they expect their woman to be there for them, answer when they call and they always want to make the final decision.’

In many cases, this is true. But you can’t put all blames on Nigerian men. It is simply the way they were brought up. It is what they see in their society and environments; it is how hey were brought up.

2. A Nigerian man is expected to have leave his parent’s home at most, 30 years of age, to fend for himself, and build his own home. If he failed to do this, he is prone to be regarded as an irresponsible person, a lazy person, or even a failure. Men in Nigeria are expected to be independent at most, 30 years of age.

3. The Nigerian man is naturally a workaholic. They go out in the morning and they return back in the evening. They don’t usually get fed up with wealth acquisition.

This is true to many men. In Nigeria, this is what is expected of a man. However, there are some lazy ones that will prefer relying on their parents, siblings, family, friends, or even spouse. In fact, in Nigeria, it seem these category of lazy men could do anything just to marry a rich lady.
