Politics In Nigeria: Issues And Solutions by Nobody: 9:25am On Jan 15, 2016
In this post I would be discussing politics in Nigeria and also attempt to unravel the quiz, who we are to blame for the current state of the nation? And also attempt to proffer possible solutions so as to avoid similar occurrence in future.

Nigeria is said to be the 7th most populous nation in the world. Nigeria is blessed with a lot of mineral resources and also Nigeria possesses fertile land for agriculture. These are factors that ought to work to the advantage and progress of Nigeria. Over the years Nigeria has not achieved the heights and standards expected by our founding father's at this age(55years). Though some positives can be noted in Nigeria and improvement can be said of in education and the standard of living of Nigerians. Though Nigeria finds herself far behind her contemporaries. It can be said that with all all the resources at her disposal, Nigeria ought not to be at this stage. Nigeria seems to be plagued by a stunted growth.

Who are we to blame for this stunted growth and regression in some department? Many quarters have overtime claimed that the root cause of all the problems facing Nigeria is corruption and mismanagement of funds. Past political and military leaders have been blamed of being corrupt and moving Nigeria to the wrong direction. Like worms these men engage in a parasitic relationship with Nigeria thus feeding daily on our national treasury leaving the government incapacitated.

Studying politics in Nigeria is a very interesting thing to do, you would be at awe when you fully understand the political scenario in Nigeria. In Nigeria the politicians simply evolve overtime to suit the present condition and power keeps revolving around a particular circle while the people/electorates repeat the same process/mistake which gives them the same end result they complained about previously. The big question is, who are we to blame?

Is it the politicians who came with outrageous and unrealistic manifestos, which are notably eye catching, all this are done in an attempt to get the mandate of the people, and when they get into government they simply run it shabbily?

Is it the people/electorates who don't run a background check on who they are about to vote for, or even put the politician to test. The electorates simply cast their votes based on political gimmicks that are bound to fail them?
