poultry is a very lucrative biz, but i tell you sis it involves a lot of money and time, becareful where you get your doc(day old chicks). These days the kind of doc are carriers of various diseases. Where are you located?have you heard about onigbedde birds, forget about household names like zarteck, sanders, ,you have to start with a few number since you ddont have any experence, Get a small brodding room , which you should have totally santinized , preferably with bleach and dettol, do these about twice b4 the arrival of your doc.Make sure the day your birds arrive your room is warm enough for them, Note when the move randomly the room they are warm, when they move away from the light means it too hot, goodluck .

Summary: Poultry farming has proven to be very lucrative; hence you might have been tempted to start one as a form of business and source of income.

Chickens are already an integral part of human life. Chickens are one of the major sources of animal meat, aside from pork and fish. As a business, they offer an opportunity for people to earn big that’s why there are many poultry farms out there. One of the major customers for poultry farms are the major fast-food companies, although some of them have their own chicken farms to supply their needs.

Don’t get behind the profits, and start setting up your poultry farms now.

Poultry business is good business, but it is equally risky. The coming of the highly pathogenic strain of the avian influenza virus has changed the face of this business. An outbreak can wipe out an entire fam of a million birds in 48 hours!

My suggestion is that it will pay you to take out time and go to exisiting farms like Songhai farms in Benin Republic and study what they have there. It may look like a huge expense, but it will pay you in the long run.

Secondly, you have to get a vet.doctor on standby to respond to all health issues that may arise. Chickens are particularly prone to illness. Source information from the best hands in the business, do what they do and you will get their results.

in any business you want to start it is advisable to begin in a small form this will enable you gain experience especially as a novice or a beginner. poultry business is a lucrative business as you know eggs are on high demand. hotels needs it, snacks producers needs it,good for household use and even recommended by doctors. so you can see the huge customers in need of it. i will advise you to start small maybe with 300 birds. if you buy lets say 100 broilers and 200 layers birds. haco birds lays big eggs while broilers grows fast for table use. here are some tips on how you can start in a small form.
you need a piece of land
a structure to prevent rain, cool, humid weather, snakes and others things from destroying your birds
a veterinary doctor
a good knowledge of how to prepare your birds for survival
a generator i pass my neighbour or even maybe kerosene stoves
a clean water.
this busines has techniques of handling it but is very simple. 200 birds can give you about 6 crates of eggs every day and if able to breed your broilers maybe 100 birds especially during the season period, you sell each for between 2k and 2.5k.
so you can see how lucrative the business is. if you are so keen interest to start this business, i have a manual that will guide you through. in the manual you will know where to buy your birds, the feeds, how to set up your poultry structure in a local way, how to prevent them from dying young, how to survive a dying chick and lots of more. you can email me at evanvick@yahoo.co.uk or call me on 08025701682 for more inquiry.
wish good luck
