What is Passwording of Document in Microsoft Word?
This is the practice of protecting document from unauthorized users. A document that is passworded can only be access by authorized persons.
To password document in any versions of Microsoft Word, follow the steps below:
1. The document to be passworded must be saved and on the screen
2. Navigate to SAVE AS dialogue box
3. Locate and click Tools
4. Locate and click general/security options
5. Type desire password in the space provided
6. Click ok
7. Re-type password for confirmation and click ok
8. Back to the SAVE AS dialogue box, click save to save the password.
