A popular Gynaecologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital LUTH in Idi Araba, Mushin Lagos has been arrested. 43-year-old Adesina Opeyemi has been working as a consultant Gynaecologist at the hospital since 2012 with forged medical doctor certificates.

The resident of 1 Alowolodu Street in Ketu was arrested following a petition sent to the police by LUTH management. Lagos Police spokesperson Oladapo Badmos said the suspect would soon be charged for impersonation.

Editor's Note: No wonder people keep loosen their lives in LUTH Lagos State. In fact it is no news that LUTH is a no go area when you mention it to any Lagos resident. One of my cousin jokingly told me the other day that if your want any member of your family to die without suspicion, when the person is sick or wants to deliver, take him or her to LUTH and the rest will be history...lol

On a serious note though, i think this will be an eye opener to the government and for them to tighten their grip on securing peoples lives. For some to fake his/her way to a noble position as someone's physician, i think the security in this country is bogus.

This news is true and the thought of how this criminal passed all stages of screening before employment baffles me.....In all fairness, everyone involved in the recruitment process that gave him the job should be prosecuted as well. I know many people will want to defend them that one can be so smart during interview... yes, I agree...But what took them so long to verify his credentials He has been practising for good three years! That's just their own crime..failure to expedite actions in verifying his credentials.

There are some things you can fake but fake being a doctor is criminal.He didn't just fake being a doctor but a gynaecologist..........that's insane.Someone's who's expected to be an authority in live or death situations!
How did he go through screening to get the job sef?The employers did a shoddy job.
