The Ikeja streetlight project a TECNO Mobile CSR initiative which has been two years in making aims to light the Ikeja computer village and its environs in solar powered streetlights made by Hong Kong LED lighting company iFlux, a member of the TRANSSION HOLDINGS. Lighting of the Ikeja mega electronics market will foster security and overall ambience of the market while revitalizing nightlife in the area which has been crippled in part, due to criminal activities that happen in dark alleys across the market streets.


TECNO Mobile has established itself as one of Africa’s top guns in mobile shipments and indeed Nigeria’s leading OEM vendor but it’s not stopping there. Year over year the tech giant rolls out one custom product after another. One of the outstanding products of the company is the Phantom 5 which has held its own among the high - end devices in the country.

This is another first from this company after it was adjudged the best customer centric mobile last year.

Wow! Now this is incredible, all the Iphone, HTC, Blackberry, Samsung we all love have never really given back and it's Tecno, the brand we usually look down on giving us this, talk about giving back to the society, a 2 year project, nice thinking...

Nice one coming from Techno, I only wished they had looked inwards and taken it to our higher institutions to come up with this solar project, thereby developing the potential of our youths and creating employment.
