Come to think of it, Democracy isn't working for us. A regional government is not forthcoming. I'll suggest Nigeria should become a communist nation. It has worked for China, Cuba, Russia, Malaysia, Venezuela, Indonesia and North Korea.

Nigeria should make these countries its allies in order to know how the system works. Russia and China will be in a better position to show us how the system works. PMB should make Russia, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba and China its allies.

Top members of that communist party would be exempt from the corruption you want to eradicate.
The party is supreme and whoever leads it becomes untouchable

All these countries you mentioned can't even compare, in terms of diversity in ethnicity, with Nigeria.

Major reason why communism won't work

China abandoned communism for a reason.

China did not abandon communism.

it eradicates corruption last two years the chief of army staff of China was imprisoned after his tenure for corruption and selling of classified national information.

democracy is a means used by Western govts to control and monitor the development of weaker nations. I would like Nigeria to practice communism but it is not at the interest of my Igbo nation. that means that the oligarchs would have sovereign control control over us intact it is the easiest way to islamized Nigeria@Spanishkid

Communism
"a theory or system of social organization in which all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs"

China or Russia don't practice Communism. Boris Yetsin ended it in Russia, am not sure who ended it in China.
It's a failed system, countries that practice communism are abandoning it, why should we try a failed system?

that is a very shallow definition of communism. over 90% of companies in China are owned by the government. communism has transformed beyond your definition into something more modern that suites development. Russia is not communist but socialist, USSR comes to mind.

The days of the Chinese government owning companies was the height of communism. Go visit Ali baba and tell me how many govt companies you see there.

There is no communist country in the world in its actual sense, except of course, North Korea which is more of a rogue, totalitarian and isolationist state than a communist entity.

Like someone mentioned above, China has gone full-blown capitalist with individuals setting up businesses and becoming multi-billionaires.
Chinese communism died with chairman Mao (Ze Dung). The Chinese communist party does not reflect economy system. It's just a relic of its past.

Even Cuba has abandoned communism with the recent lifting of economic/trade/diplomatic embargo by the US.

Communism is not a sustainable political/economic policy. It is an oppressive ideology that only benefits members of the communist party (who are exclusively the ruling elites) and their family.

funny! I only asked a simple question.

You can't just start saying that we should start praticing communism without stating its merits and dismerits and how it affects the life of an average Nigerian..
Take for example.
Advantages of Communism

1. Careful life
2. Full employment of manpower
3. Rapid development and economic growth
4. Equitable distribution of wealth.

Disadvantages of Communism

1. Personal freedom is lost
2. Workers are treated as machines
3. Materialistic approaches to life problems
4. Central State Authority holds all means of production.

Think of it, those countries you mentioned have many things in common. In china where its natives are chinese, in Japan where her natives are Japanese e.t.c

Can such work in Nigeria where there are so much diversities in culture and language?
