Benue Rerun: Oyegun Backs Onjeh As Former Ministers & Others Defect To APC by kinggenesis(m): 5:37am On Jan 24, 2016

The National Chairman of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John
Odigie-Oyegun yesterday said the change
administration is committed to impacting
rapid development and urged the people
of Benue South Senatorial District to vote
massively for Comrade Daniel Onjeh in
the forthcoming rerun election.

Oyegun stated this at Otukpo, Benue
State, during the official flag- off of the
Onjeh Senatorial Campaign Organisation
and defection of some PDP stakeholders
and supporters to the APC fold.

According to Oyegun, the time has come
for the people to desist from opposition
politics and support the governing APC to
deliver development to the generality of
the people. He said the change mantra
has come to enhance unity and urged
the people to vote Onjeh to succeed
David Mark.

This came as two former ministers, Jerry
Agada and Sam Ode, ex-Senate president
Ameh Obute and the immediate past
deputy governor of Benue State, Chief
Steven Lawani, as well as the PDP
senatorial candidate in the last general
election, Mike Onoja defected to the
governing APC.

Other PDP chieftains who defected
included Emmanuel Attah John Enyi,
Agada Igomu, Bartholomew Oche, Joseph
Ode, Baba Odangla and several youths
and women.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors,
Senator Obute said they dumped the PDP
in order to say no to corruption, non-
development of the Benue Zone C
Senatorial District, non-payment of
salaries and general undergrowth of the
Idoma nation.

Also, a group of prominent Idoma citizens
under the umbrella of Concerned Idoma
Citizens yesterday called on former
Senate President, David Mark to back out
from the race. The chairman of the
group, Paulinus Okwori stated this In a
statement yesterday.

However, addressing the gathering in
Otukpo, Governor Samuel Ortom said
development of a people can only be
achieved through sincerity of purpose
and the fear of God.

Prophecy on Mark's political career is one of the 2015 prophecies that was accurate.

David Mark can now take a bow and leave the scene for good.
He was to leave when the ovation was loudest but he missed that golden opportunity, now that the window is close his estranged political allies and rivals will want to make an open show of his impending defeat.
What a pathetic way to close the door of once glorious era. Adieu politico Devil's Mark!

APC will finally morph into a hydra-headed monster like the deceased PDP and implode. The problem with Nigeria is not political parties or the leaders: it is the citizenry. We do nothing to checkmate our politicians. They do anyhow and don't see anyhow.

A lot of Nigerians don't know that this man David Mark is one of the most fortunate Nigerian dead or alive.
One time minister of communication, two timed military governor, member Army Supreme council, four term senator and being the longest serving Senate President of 8 years, yet nothing to show in his primary constituency except periodical antics of illusory hope.
Haba David Mark na only you Waka come?
