This has been long over due, I kept wondering where civil right activist like Femi Falana, Adeboruwa etc are, the judicial system currently is going down, the execultives are not allowing them to cross examine cases, and take decisions base on courts proceedings, it is really bad for our young democracy.

Anybody can muster 20 idle youths, give them N1,000 banner and use a China phone to take picture and post on Nairaland. If he is lucky, he will make front page.

The JUDICIARY is the legal foundation of any civilized nation, as well as the protector of citizens' rights to life, liberty, property.
Or is Buhari returning Nigeria to pre-colonial rule of the emirs & warlords?

And its the last hope for the common man.

These guys won't protest when people are rendered homeless due to Boko Haram activities.

They won't protest against massive rigging in elections.

But once their benefactors are facing charges in the Law Courts and the evidence is heavily steeped against them they adopt this silly excuse of marching against human rights infringement.

They would mostly be seen wearing dark shades or masking their faces with banners. If that fails the photographer makes their faces blurred so the usual suspects are not quickly identified.

when the presidency says, they are shopping for judges to help fight corruption, if you are not partisan, you should know that something is not right.

you like buhari.... no problem

you so trust him... no problem.

Tomorrow, when another person you don't like is president, you'll not be able to stop him from shopping for his own brand of judges to help fight whatever war he feels like fighting.

It's left for us to stand for what is right. it may be bitter and not convenient, but It's safer.

Very funny. How come they just realize the judiciary is not working. The Judiciary should save themselves from being ridicules by corrupt element with their mist. Bunch of clown.
I agree with you on this. Just take a look at those most rubbish and frevolous charges by the courts. It has not been so rubbish like this before. In those day, court charges were highly reasonable and makes complete sense, but today, probably because of the serious lies every hours, they just charge people foolishly.

Corruption fighting back, whether they like it or not, thieves and looters would be locked up and nothing will happen!!

You can still do that lawfully if you try hard enough but it is so easy to undermine institutions. That is why the fight against corruption will go when he goes and we will be back to square one come 2019. Wisdom entails you leave a legacy and you cannot do that if your vision does not transcend your personality. That is Buhari's weakness, his inability to build consensus and without that how do you build society.

BTW there is still corruption going on anyway so.....

Don't get something clear. Who should save the judiciary from Buhari
Re: Save Our Judiciary Protest In Abuja (PICTURE) by LightofEarendil: 2:36pm On Jan 27, 2016
This protest is many years late.

Read about Dariye fighting against standing trail for corruption for 8 years ( since 2007) until the Supreme Court recently ruled that he should go and stand trial.
How can a trial be held for that long and it has not even begun!

It is the judiciary that needs to save itself.
