U guys r only being irrational about this story. For gt about the fact that she was pregnant. She's owing someone 4.2million naira in this current economic situation in Nigeria. Its big money. People even get killed for 10000naira debt. Who knows maybe she was even avoiding the man before he decided to get her arrested? |

safarigirl: From the Op's post the woman is 8weeks pregnant. That's about 2months. That her tommy isn't protruding doesn't mean she's not pregnant. |

safarigirl: An eight week pregnancy can't possibly be visible. Thank God for Arase with his zero tolerance for police brutality. She can get a tangible compensation from the NPF once the case gets to the IG's desk. |

I am sorry to say that This lady is only using Deziani tactics to evade responsibility. I agree that conditions in Nigerian police cell are despicable and almost inhuman but they cannot cause rupture of a womb. Even if the police were jumping on her belly they can cause abortion of the presumed 8 weeks pregnancy but the womb rupture at that stage of pregnancy is unlikely. The woman should go and pay her loan. My sympathies are with the money lender. |

That is part of the impunity we have been shouting about. It is Mrs Taiwo and not Mrs Nneka Her case could have been worse, others might be receiving worse treatment than she is right now. SAY NO TO TYRANNY SAY NO TO IMPUNITY SAY NO TO POLICE STATE Yes to adherence to Rule of Law |

People are bad shaaaa! The fact that the victim may even be lying or squandered the funds cannot be over-emphasized but then, arresting and detaining her is even worst. Accept the payment plan and if she defaults institute legal action and not bribe police to arrest and detain her ..... Nigerians sef |
