The President, Muhammadu Buhari, has come out to say that in relation to his anti-corruption campaign, his main headache is the judiciary. This was made in a statement in Addis Ababa at a town hall meeting for Nigerians living in Ethiopia.
President Buhari says this could be gleaned from the fact that on his attempts to become the president, he went to court three times and he was unsuccessful. This is considering the fact that in each of these scenarios, the case was pursued to the Supreme Court and the cases dragged on for a very long period of time.
Thus, the judiciary needs a lot of reform before Nigeria would get to the Promised Land.
The President stated:
"On the fight against corruption vis-a-vis the judiciary, Nigerians would be right to say that is my main headache for now. If you reflect on what I went through for 12 years, when I wanted to be the President, I attempted three times and on the fourth attempt, through God and the use of technology, it was possible for Nigerians to elect an APC candidate as President.
"In my first attempt in 2003, I ended up at the Supreme Court and for 13 months, I was in court. The second attempt in 2007, I was in court close to 20 months and in 2011, my third attempt, I was also in court for 9 months.
All these cases went up to the Supreme Court until the fourth time in 2015, when God agreed that I would be the President of Nigeria"
However, President Muhammadu Buhari assures Nigerians that with the help of the present Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, he would be able to achieve his objective of improving the Nigerian judiciary and rooting out corruption in the process.

Mr. President, I agree on you totally on this one,because our Judiciary is starting to become something else.

The Nigerian Judiciary can be given an A- rating,as regards the fight against corruption of past officials,with stringent bail conditions set.

It is the other part of the Judiciary that bothers me,that part bordering on them looking like a Joke. Or what do we call a Judiciary that brings in a THUG like Wike back to Power?

Or that one that his Village people did not even vote for,but the Judiciary said won in Akwa Ibom.

There is one Galivanting around in Ekiti Shirtless,like the incredible Hulk in the Avengers Movie,called Fayose .

The Judiciary said he is the right man,I mean Fayose? This one needs a rope to tie him down.

Taraba is still there,and the judiciary robbed Mama Taraba,even if she won.

Yeah, Mr. President this Judiciary is something the Government should look into.
