– One of the 5 achievements of President
Muhammadu Buhari is on increase of generated
revenue

– Corruption has drastically reduced

– More international collaborations from
advanced countries

When the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to
the nation’s president, Femi Adesina in a live
interview monitored by Naij.com in the morning of
Friday, January 8
mentioned some of the ways in which the president
is trying to turn around the economic fortunes of the
masses, little did Nigerians could ever imagine that
Buhari was on the right track.

The other image maker of President Buhari, Garba
Shehu mentioned just 5 achievements of the
president in his 7 months presidency sojourn.
He said Nigerians should commend the president
and continue to support him as he strives to make
Nigeria the toast of Africa.

1. Anti-corruption war

In a report by The Bulletin, the media outfit tried
listing what the president has done so far for the
country.
“Buhari’s war against corruption and terrorism which
has become a template for Africa and the rest of the
world.”
Apart from the Boko Haram insurgency the country is
trying to finally exterminate, the war against
corruption and related practices has been taken to an
extent never witnessed before in the annals of the
nation.
Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate in Literature, Professor
Wole Soyinka also added his voice to the anti-
corruption stance of President Buhari by saying that
this kind of anti-corruption campaign is the first of its
kind.

2. Increasing internally generated revenue

“The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has quadrupled
its revenue base within seven months, a feat the
service could not achieve in years.”
It is a thing of joy for the nation especially when
there is a crunch in the economy and the price of
crude oil, which is Nigeria’s major earner fell to a
record low. The efforts of the men of the NCS have
really plugged the large gap that the low crude oil
sale would have had on the economy. It has
cushioned the effects of low income being generated
from other sectors of the economy.

3. Concerted efforts to recover stolen money

“Other efforts to confront the monster of corruption
which progress was being made in recovering the
nation’s stolen funds.”
The behemoth called corruption is the number one
bane of national development. Previous governments
all tried various methods to stem the frightening tide
of this monster, but to avail. The combined efforts
being used by the Buhari-led administration have
been yielding positive fruits.

4. Having a central account to deposit recovered
stolen Nigerian money

“Opening of an escrow account for the purpose of
receiving stolen funds abroad.”
It is a good idea to have a major account in which all
the stolen funds recovered from those that looted
Nigeria’s coffers dry are deposited. This will make it
easier to track those that have returned the stolen
money that they have in their foreign bank accounts
and those who are yet to return theirs.
The idea of this account will make future looters
thinks twice before stealing from the nation’s
treasury as foreign banks might not want to have
stolen money deposited with them.

5. Good working relationship with World Super
powers

“Working with allies across the world from Britain
and America to France and Germany to China and
the UAE to source, locate and repatriate
misappropriated funds.”
No country can exist in isolation. It is also a big
advantage when a country like Nigeria at its present
fragile and precarious economic downturn is being
befriended for good reasons by the political and
economic superpower countries of the world.
Since President Buhari was sworn in on Friday, May
29, 2015, all the major leaders and presidents of the
advanced and developed countries of the world have
been inviting Nigeria’s number one citizen for
bilateral discussions that will foster growth and
development of the country.

Achievement: a great or heroic deed, something achieved by valor and boldness. I'm not sure you can call as these you listed above as an outright achievement.
