Contingent of Distinguished Senators led by the senate president Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki met with Nigeria’s Service Chiefs. They had fruitful and lively discussion on ways to further strengthen Nigeria’s peace and security. Also Senator Abaribe used one of the occasions to present Aba Made Military Kits to the Senate President. There is very low productivity in Nigeria, but among the ethnic groups, Igbos are the only ones producing anything at all. The rest are either just servicing the economy (e.g., banks, telecoms, etc) (which Igbos are also into) or are just chopping our national cake like thieves (which, unfortunately, some Igbos are also doing)

This is what I keep telling these pro Biafran boys. Think. Think. Think. This is not 1967. Today your power as a group or person is based on your access to buying markets. Igbos have a nearly 200 million strong Nigerian market just sitting and waiting to be exploited, and yet some knuckleheads among them want to run away from it, even leaving all their current investments behind, to form a tiny republic. It just makes no sense. Is it the oil? For fuckks sakes, you can make more money manufacturing than you can from that oil, whose price continues to plummet, even as the world is moving away from fossil fuels to more sustainable, greener energy sources. How much oil does China sell? Or Japan? Zero. Yet can any of these oil producing nations match those two in terms of wealth and development? Impossible. So breaking out of Nigeria is a very myopic strategy that shows serious lack of foresight or appreciation of the way the world is going. The Igbo intelligentsia needs to speak to these Biafra boys and tell them what's up.

What makes you think there won't be political problems in Biafra? I recall one book written by Achebe in which he wrote about how Biafran officials during the war would siphon food aid sent for the starving masses, and re-sell on the black market, and/or store up their own homes. So you guys need to curb this idealism that Igbo politicians are these angels that will take you to the promised land if only they had their own separate, tiny country. It's bullshiit. grin

There are local indigenous cottage enterprises all over Nigeria.
These below are leather palm footwear produced in cities like Kano on a daily basis, and they are distributed and bought all over the country..... But I am sure if it was Aba made, the whole of NL would have been flooded with articles of how Aba is Japan for making a shoe (as we saw earlier this week)

While the one below are pics of a local shoe making factory in Badagry

What I have noticed here on NL, is that Igbos take every slight opportunity available to validate themselves on the most insignificant things , as if they are trying to prove something. This is an issue of complex.

If you are too pained that Igbos advertise their products on NL you go do likewise.

After all, you lots control NL and use it fully to champion your evil propaganda and numerous lies against Igbo Nation.

You have supported and hailed your military and police forces in the hunt down and killings of peaceful IPOB protesters in a bid to safeguard Lord Lugard's cage.

Are you lots only creative in championing evil cause of propaganda on NL?

If Igbos have a complex why would you lots cry blue murder that they seek to have separate existence?

I think you should close your mouth, if you don't want to embrace facts. The Igbo don't need anybody's oil. Oil is a curse that has only brought pains by attracting fulani bountyhunters and treasury looters into Biafraland. Buhari recently told you that he fought Biafra not because they really cared about Easterners but they fought as treasure hunters with their eyes on crude. That's the presendential fulani fool you want Easterners to live with?

Now listen up, Easterners pray everyday that oil price crash in global market so you and your fulani masters can leave us in peace.
As for enticing Igbos with 'large nigerian market'. Igbos trade in senegal, mali, Ghana, and in almost all African market. Are those countries part of nigerian territory?

Like Kanu once said on his radio "economic power withour political power is a waste. It take just the stroke of a pen of a fulani daura dullar.d in Aso rock to make nonsense of every millions you think you are making by instituting toxic policies."

Kanu made this statement before your Buhari moved the NPA clearance Headquater office to kano. It means that if i want to clear goods like Wine/Alcohol, i'll have to travel to Islamic kano and risk getting my goods burned on the streets by marauding lowlife almajeris who consider it kaffur goods. Now who is the cretin? You or kanu?

The nigerian market is useless to the Easterners with renown fulani bigots making the policies. Every intelligentsia knows this. Just a stroke of a pen can change everything. So take your sermons elsewhere. They are useless.

Predicting political problems, of performing governors and political appointees or not performing, self-determination is an inalienable right of a people.

A legitimate agitation by a people for a simple referendum is no way a crime. Formulating baseless theories of failure on a people's quest for nationhood reeks of hypocrisy and it's only meant to divert attention from the crust of the matter to the subterranean.
Reeling out old time war tales with video clips and pictures to attempt to quench the call for self-determination is an effort in futility.

The exclusive hyping on the performance or non-performance of selected politicians at this critical moment, as the antidote to the quest of a people for a separate existence, is simply diversionary and mischievous to state the least.

Many a time this argument seems to be predicated on the premise that other governors and politicians are doing excellently better than their SE counterparts. And that is totally false and amounts to a campaign of calumny.

Which of other governors performed creditably better than Chime Sullivan, Peter Obi or Chris Ngige vis-a-vis the available funds at their disposal?

The infallible truth is that the Nigerian system has been so designed to foist notorious crooks on the people and also frustrate credible people from performing.

Indeed Igbos fare better than most tribes who have great federal government investments and the great lots from their elites. The Igbos have the highest concentration of middle-class citizens.
Even with the dwindling crude oil earnings Igbo States are the least affected largely due to the fact that their economy is not crude oil dependent.

Igbos are doing fairly well individually and community-wise. The main problem is the anti-Igbo policies being implemented for the past 45 years, targeting of Igbo economy and businesses, insitutionalised discrimination, Igbo careers in federal institutions, lopsided citing of federal infrastructures and investments, killings of Igbos in non-Igbo States and destruction of Igbo means of livelihoods.
Money is criminally collected from SE/SS people via institutions collectively built with the commonwealth and it is selectively used to give to free education to certain parasitic region.

The Nigerian structure is so fashioned to favour some sections while emasculating the other viable/vibrant sections. And the status quo looks very unlikely to change anytime soon. It's more likened to a journey to nowhere.

Remember that after the civil war the federal government promised to rehabilitate and reconstruct the Eastern region but subsequent evil governments diverted Gowon’s 3Rs to other regions for neglecting and under-developing the Eastern region for deliberate obvious reasons.

There's nothing like unity in Nigeria. Nairaland is a good enough mirror and a standard gauge of what your Nigeria actually is.

The Business Venture of Lord Lugard being supervised by the Islamic Fulani-led fiefdom, maintained by Hausa born-to-rule hegemony and oiled by Yoruba propaganda and lies is moribund already.

Freedom seekers seek freedom until it's achieved. They don't allow others define them to suit their interest and narratives, or permit the oppressors and abusers of human rights to teach them, the oppressed what human rights are. Once beaten twice shy, they say.

Although i commend my Igbo brothers for this innovation because it is a shame we still import military kits in Nigeria, comments like this underlines the significance of the feat. They make every achievement by any igboman, a us against them war. So instead of such feats bringing us closer, it further divides us.

Igbos are not the only ones producing in Nigeria. Most of the food you eat are produced in the north except the imported ones, most services are produced by southwesterners, most fish and fishery products are produced by Ijaw and riverine Nigerdeltans. So it is a fallacy to say that only the Igbos are producing anything at all.

Senator Abaribe should present the kits to the president or military chiefs, the decision to place orders rest with them.
