Nigerian state governors are seeking a new round of bailout from the Federal Government, BusinessDay reports.

It's been less than a year since President Muhammadu Buhari released as much as $3bn for the governors to help pay workers' salaries and take care of other issues.

Despite the bailout funds, some states are still unable to settle salary arrears or pay workers as at when due.

To shore up their revenue shortfall, at least about two-thirds of the 36 state governors had demanded for bailout from the federal government, Daily Trust added.
